The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China requires accelerating the construction of world-class enterprises. In February 2022, General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over the 24th meeting of the Central Committee for Deepening Overall Reform, which reviewed and approved the 'Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of World-Class Enterprises.' The company was formed through the restructuring of the former Shenhua Group and the former China Guodian Corporation.
